second post

I'm a fan of Mcsweeney's. I was introduced to the books not to long ago by my English major friend and his very literate family. Mcsweeney manages to incorporate everything involved in writing and a few things that vaguely do. The Internet Age writing syllabus continues the satire making fun of every major social internet experience. Paper is dangerous in the internet world and every moment of your life can be described in 140 characters or less.

  1. I agree with you. I think that the Internet Age Writing Syllabus was the best article we read! I found myself laughing out loud, especially with his incredibly long acronyms.I think there is something to be said of us limiting ourselves in what we say about our life experiences: sometimes life cannot be described in 140 characters or less!

  2. I also feel as though that was a great article as well. The acronyms were hillarious and the information through out the article was very informative. This article was my second favorite because I liked how Alex Reid influences people to reach expertise in whatever their field of study is. However, for this to be an older piece, I believe plenty of useful knowledge was shared with the readers.
